We Beg to Differ, Maureen
We ran across this article from the New York Times a couple of weeks ago (the day after election day) by columnist Maureen Dowd about our favorite URW, Rush Limbaugh.
Since we are not liberal democrats, there is a pretty good chance that our opinions might differ from Ms. Dowd’s on some issues.
This article however has a statement with which we vehemently disagree.
No matter what Rushie Boy’s knowledge of classical music, Beluga caviar, or vintage champagne… he still is a freakin’ Neanderthal. We’re pretty convinced that the loudest, fattest cavemen in the Neanderthal era ate the finest foods available to them.

Rush Limbaugh Does Not Represent US!
You know the drill, the ads about the Geico insurance company building its business on the backs of Neanderthals…
What’s the big deal?
Rush Limbaugh has been doing it since 1984. (Does something seem WRONG about that year to you? Our minds drift back to a novel about a totalitarian fascist state. Of course, to some of the URW a fascist state is one that prosecutes “innocent businessmen” who manipulate the stock market, avoid billions in taxes, and pollute every freakin’ river in the freakin’ world.)
OK, for you subtlety fans, there’s also something in the way we used US in the title of this article. 2 points if you guess correctly.
